Ashton Athletic 0-1 Padiham

Ashton Athletic manager Dougie Pitts, "We said to the boys that the three points were all that mattered but we've come away from the game with nothing when a point was probably all we deserved. It's disappointing in-terms if where we want to be at the end of the season, but there will be other twists and turns before the season is done.

"Fair play to Padiham, they came and defended very well and made it hard for us to break them down, but we were nowhere near the levels that we have set over the last twelve or so games.

"That happens in football sometimes and we must have a good weeks training, work on a few areas, and go again Saturday in the Macron cup against a good Runcorn side.

Bootle 0-3 Rylands

Rylands manager David McNabb, "I thought we were excellent from start to finish today. We battled and fought for absolutely everything and in possession, we showed our quality.

"I’m so happy for the lads, they’ve been brilliant over the last few weeks and fully deserved today’s result. They deserve every bit of credit for today."

Congleton Town 5-0 Barnoldswick Town

Barnoldswick Town manager Endrit Shehu, "A very disappointing performance. Started well and had a couple of good chances to score. Congleton scored first against the run of play which changed everything. Second half we didn’t compete, lost our shape and allowed them to score easy goals.

"We need to regroup and move on. We have enough quality in our team so hopefully can start getting results. Apologies for the performance to the Barlick fans who travelled to watch us."

Hanley Town 0-4 1874 Northwich

1874 Northwich manager Wayne Goodison, "An excellent three points for us against a spirited Hanley side. Was a tight first half but we felt that we could have scored more with perhaps a little bit more care, that said the conditions were difficult at times.

"However, the second half we put them under a lot of pressure and the players were excellent to see us through with another three goals."

Northwich Victoria 2-3 Charnock Richard

Charnock Richard manager Ryan Donnellan, "Very pleased to get all three points. The wind was a major factor for both sides throughout the game. My players showed great character to come from behind.

The game was fairly even and Northwich got lucky scoring from a corner but we dug in and scored to very good goals in quick succession. In the end, the best footballing team won the game."

Skelmersdale United 0-1 Irlam

Irlam manager Michael Dodd," After being the victim of some late goals against us recently, it was nice to score one of our own to get the 3 points today.

"It was a tough day; the swirling wind and 3G surface at Skelmersdale meant the lads had to adapt to the conditions and it wasn’t a pretty performance.

"We defended brilliantly throughout and Cal Nicholas has popped up with a lovely little run and header to win us the game. It means back to back 1-0 wins for us and we look solid again as we move forward to next Saturday."

Squires Gate 1-0 Litherland REMYCA

Litherland REMYCA manager Phil Stafford, "We started the brighter and missed two early chances. Squires gate finished the half stronger.

"The second half was a stalemate. Windy conditions and they killed the game when they could. I thought a draw was a fair result but we have got a week off now from the league and can look forward to a local cup game against AFC Liverpool."
