Golcar United 3-3 Bacup Borough

Golcar Manager Ashley Connor: "We started the game really well and were 1-0 up after two minutes through a well taken goal from Alex Hallam. We controlled the game in the first half and created a lot of chances but we just didn’t take advantage. As the half went on Bacup started to come into the game and equalised on 43 minutes.

"We found ourselves 3-1 up mid way through the second half through two well-taken penalties by Nathan Tayo. We then hit the self destruct button in the last few minutes and allowed Bacup to leave with a point. It was a disappointing end to the game, we were 3-1 up with five minutes remaining but unfortunately, we couldn’t see the job through. We had another great turnout yesterday, the support we have received so far this season has been brilliant."

Nelson 1-4 AFC Liverpool

AFC Liverpool manager Chris Anderson: "Great result today. The boys did very well. We conceded early on but showed resilience to come from behind and to win the game. We played some good football at times but a bit of a gritty performance.

"Week by week we are showing more of what we are about and the different ways to win games which is the most important thing. Another three points and puts us right back in the pack at the top half."

St Martins 1-2 Barnton

Barnton manager James McShane: "The game went well today. I thought both teams played good football on the surface. St Martins started in one formation but had to change after 15 minutes which then made the game very even. St Martins took their goal very well. Needed something to beat Arran in goal for us today and it was a quality strike.

"I thought we played very well to get back in terms and in the end both teams pushed forward for the win. Extremely happy that it was us to get it."

Eccleshall 2-4 Cammell Laird 1907
Cammell Laird 1907 manager Phil Burton: "Comfortable win in the end. We started with high tempo and scored early on but then stopped playing and allowed them back in with a mistake conceding a penalty. Second half we dominated and had chances to score more.

"We played some really good football against a well organised side that will do well this season. Overall pleasing performance and result."

Shelley 1-1 Atherton LR

Shelley manager Ash Berry: "I thought that was probably fair result, I think we dominated them in the first half and should have been in front.

"Second half, I thought they showed spirit and dug in and earned a point with 10-men. Chances wise perhaps we should have won it but as I say they worked hard and took probably only chance they had in the game."
