Cheadle Town Football Club have announced that David Pluck Bookmakers will be the club's official sponsor for the forthcoming 2011/12 season.

David Pluck is an independent Bookmakers with a number of establishments located throughout the North West, and the sponsorship deal came through past connections when Cheadle Town hosted their 50th Anniversary Dinner earlier this year in Manchester.

Town's Press Officer Stuart Crawford explained:  "At the dinner, former Grasmere Rovers player Frank Seymour approached the club about a possible sponsorship.  What appealed to both parties was that he was in possession of Grasmere Rovers' original shirt.

"With the idea of sponsorship, and discussion about what colours Grasmere Rovers/Cheadle Town have played in, the Club have decided to revert back to their original colours of Green and White for the forthcoming season.

"Plans are currently underway in designing the new kit, which will be a limited edition and will have a specially designed Grasmere Rovers / Cheadle Town Badge.

"The Football Club look forward to forging a special partnership with David Pluck Bookmakers throughout the season and hopefully in the future."
