The committee at Padiham are appealing for help in tracking down an important piece of club memorabilia.
Padiham Secretary Alan Smith explained: "One hundred years ago Padiham Football Club had just rejoined the Lancashire Combination Football League. At that time it become a limited liability company with a capital of two hundred and fifty pounds, allotted in five hundred ten shilling (fifty pence) shares.
"Try as the club might, we have never been able to obtain one of the original shares issued or for that matter, a copy of the prospectus issued at the time of the formation of the company.
"If anyone can help the club track down any of the shares or the prospectus, we would be very grateful, as it would make a valuable addition to Padiham Football Club's history file."
