League Statistician Kenin Lawton has reviewed the games, results and stats from the last seven days and has highlighted the latest League and Club milestones across all three Divisions up to and including the 7th October.

Stats and Milestone Update to Saturday 7 th October 2023

Overall Milestones
Colne’s third goal in their 5-3 win at Squires Gate was the club’s 2,300 th in the NWCFL.
FC St Helens reached the 100-goal milestone with their opener in the 4-3 win at Garstang.
Wythenshawe Town conceded their 200th goal when Charnock Richard hit their third as the home side ran out 5-3 winners.

Home Milestones
Eccleshall’s defeat at home to Maine Road was their 350 th home game.
Holker Old Boys won their 250 th home game with the defeat of Atherton LR.

Away Milestones
FC Isle of Man’s 3-2 win at Burscough was their 50th game on the mainland.

Goal Heroes
Joel Brownhill got his second triple of the season for Padiham in the 3-1 win against AFC Liverpool
Regan Smith hit three of Brocton’s ten in the big home win against New Mills. There were five different scorers for the home side.

Joseph Barker hit three more for FC St Helens, his second in successive games as FC St Helens won at Garstang.

Joe Ankers hit four for Runcorn Town as they beat the ‘goal machine’ that is Route One Rovers 5-3.  This was Runcorn’s first triple since March 2020. He is now First Division North’s fourth player to get four goals in one game this season.

This weekend’s games saw a goal bonanza. In the 30 matches played, 146 goals were scored, an average of 4.86 per game. The season average is just 3.68.
