Stats Report: Season 2024/25

League Statistician Kevin Lawton takes a look at some of the milestones reached by clubs in the NWCFL over the 2024/25 season:
Reaching 1,000 games in the League over the last 12 months were Abbey Hey, whilst Padiham and Winsford United both hit 1,100, Holker Old Boys surpassed 1,200, Squires Gate notched their 1,300th, Glossop North End are now on over 1,400 and AFC Blackpool surpassed 1,500.
There were plenty of smaller milestones too: Ashville, Euxton Villa, FC St Helens and Stockport Georgians all brought up a century of games after joining us in 2022 whilst Cheadle Heath Nomads, Garstang, Longridge Town, Lower Breck and Steeton all hit the double ton following their promotions to the League in 2018. Sandbach United, nine years after promotion to Step 6, clocked up their 300th fixture whilst Litherland REMYCA played their 400th NWCFL match; Darwen FC climbed above 500 whilst Barnoldswick Town, Irlam and Maghull all went through the 600 mark. Looking south: Eccleshall hit 750 games and near-neighbours Alsager Town chalked up their 900th.
As for wins, Abbey Hulton United, Droylsden, Longridge Town and Lower Breck all emerged victorious for the 100th time in the NWCFL; Prestwich Heys are now on over 200 wins and Ramsbottom United passed 350. On the flip side, the trio of Charnock Richard, Garstang and Steeton all found themselves on the losing side for the 100th time whilst AFC Liverpool tasted defeat for the 250th time. Ashton Athletic crossed the 400 defeat mark, Glossop North End and Maine Road surpassed 600 losses and League stalwarts Bacup Borough lost for the 700th time.
Onto goalscoring milestones and plenty of clubs reached a landmark in 2024/25:
