League Milestones and Statistics: Saturday, 30th August 2025

 

Overall Stats:

  • Padiham’s final goal in their Monday afternoon win against Ramsbottom was their 2,000th.
  • Irlam’s opening goal in their 3-0 win at Litherland REMYCA was their 1,000th.
  • Pilkington conceded their 400th goal with the defeat against AFC Liverpool.

 

Home Stats:

  • Litherland REMYCA’s defeat to Irlam was their 200th home game.
  • Sandbach Utd will remember their 150th home game, a 9-0 drubbing of Wolverhampton Sporting Community.
  • Pilkington reached 100 home games with the 3-3 against Barnoldswick Town.

 

Away Stats:

  • Maghull’s second goal at Steeton was their 500th on the road.
  • Cheadle Town’s 1-1 result at Prestwich Heys saw them notch their 150th draw away from home.

 

Goal Heroes:

  • Elliott Taylor (AFC Liverpool) with three in the win against Pilkington.
  • Joseph Bevan (Sandbach Utd) three of his sides’ nine against Wolves Sporting Community.
  • Thomas Wakefield (Foley Meir) with three against Haughmond. He was also the last Foley Meir player with a hat-trick – completing this in August 2024.

 

General Stats:

  • There were NO home wins in the Premier Division in Saturday’s fixtures and only three in each of the other divisions – six home wins from 27 matches.
  • Squires Gate kept their first clean sheet for 31 games with the 1-0 win against Maine Road.
  • Colne got their first clean sheet in 23 games, beating Garstang 2-0.
  • Holker Old Boys 0-0 at MSB Woolton was their first blank for 10 games.
  • Barnton kept their first clean sheet for 10 games with the 2-0 win at Cheadle Heath Nomads.
  • Glossop failed to score for the first time in 9 games as they lost at home to South Liverpool.

 

Managers:

  • Dave Jones will reach 100 games in charge of Artherton LR with his next game.
