Rossendale United owner Andrew Connolly has confirmed today he is confident the club will be able to fulfil their fixtures in the Vodkat League for the remainder of the season.

Mr Connolly informed League Secretary John Deal that he was in the process of appointing a management team, who would then assemble a squad to prepare for Saturday's scheduled home fixture against Winsford United.

John Deal said: "Mr Connolly contacted me on Wednesday morning to confirm the League's position with regard to the club's status.  He also informed me that he had received several offers of assistance with regard to staging and playing the game on Saturday.

"He stated that he is confident that the fixture on Saturday will be fulfilled, as he was in the process of recruiting a management team, and that the club's remaining fixtures should also be unaffected by cancellations from now on.  He confirmed that he is committed to ensuring that the club will continue to compete in the Vodkat League.

"Mr Connolly has been informed that the League must receive confirmation by Friday that the game against Winsford United will definitely go ahead, and that all the necessary facilities and staffing will be in place to stage the game."
