Ramsbottom United Goalkeeper Brad Rose was presented with his Premier Division paxsport Goalkeeper of the Month award for February 2026 at last Wednesday's home game with West Didsbury & Chorlton. League Vice Chairman Geoff Wilkinson went along and he is pictured presenting Brad with his award prior to the game.

This is the second time that Brad has won this award after winning it in October last season.

The 21-year old ex-Salford City stopper joined his home side Ramsbottom on a season long loan from National League North side Radcliffe at the start of last season having been on loan at Trafford last season. His season was curtailed by injury though, and he agreed another season long loan for this season citing 'unfinished business' at the club. He has made 84 appearances for Rammy since his signing.

The first game in February saw title challengers Ramsbottom visit South Liverpool. It was a game of few chances for the hosts as Ramsbottom scored a goal in each half to win 2-0. Brad's oragnisation of his defence and vocal encouragement throughout were key in keeping a clean sheet.

Next up was a trip to Charnock Richard, with the home side very much on top in a first half that saw them lay siege to the home goal. Brad kept his side in the game with some key saves, most notably from James Nolan's low effort midway through the first half. He also saved one-on-one from Jordan Darr in the second half, and was unlucky not to keep a clean sheet with Charnock grabbing an equaliser in the 95th minute with the score finishing 1-1.

Cheadle Town was next in a midweek battle, with Ramsbottom running out 2-1 winners. Brad could do nothing about the Cheadle goal, but kept his side's lead intact in the 90th minute when he pulled off a crucial save from Eddie Brown.

The fourth game of the month brought a routine 3-0 win over Pilkington. It was a pretty one sided game with another clean sheet for Rose. This was followed by an abandoned game at West Didsbury & Chorlton due to a waterlogged pitch, with the score goalless at the time.

Euxton Villa were next to visit Rammy, and they ended up inflicting Rammy's first home defeat of the season with a 1-0 win. Rose was solid throughout with lots of pressure on him, and he could do little about the goal which was a defensive error that left Jordan Bentham one on one with him and he slotted past Rose.

The final game of the month saw rivals Padiham visit the Riverside, with Rose keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 win. His performance that day led to him winning Man of the Match, his third of the season, after claiming yet another clean sheet.

Six games in the month for Brad, with three clean sheets, one Man of the Match and just three goals conceded.

Congratulations to Brad on his Award!
