The majority of our Premier Division clubs will appear in the the Emirates FA Cup, the world's oldest Cup competition, in August after the FA announced the Emirates FA Cup entries for the 2025/26 Season.

23 of our 24 clubs have applied to enter the competition and all have been accepted into it as expected. FC Isle of Man are the only Premier Division team not to have applied, and they have yet to play in the competition since their formation in 2019.

Entering the competition for the first time in their history is Euxton Villa, who were promoted as First Division North Play Off winners in April. First Division North Champions Atherton LR make their first appearance in the competition since the 2012/13 season.

Unfortunately no Step 6 sides have been accepted once more, meaning that all of the sides in our First Division North and South once again miss out on entry.

A total of 747 clubs have been accepted, an increase of two compared to last season. This is the most since 758 entrants were accepted in the 2012/13 season.

The Emirates FA Cup kicks off on Saturday 2nd August. The draws for the Extra Preliminary Round and Preliminary Round will be announced on Friday 4th July.

Additionally, 13 of our clubs have been accepted into the FA Youth Cup this season: Abbey Hey, Atherton LR, Burscough, Cheadle Town, Glossop North End, Irlam, Padiham, Pilkington, Ramsbottom United, South Liverpool, Stockport Town, West Didsbury & Chorlton and Wythenshawe.
