Steven Oldham has taken a look across the weekends Premier Division Results and the weeks FA Cup games that have featured NWCFL sides.

Kendal Town remain unbeaten this season in the North West Counties Premier Division and stay top of the table with a 4-2 victory over Pilkington, despite playing most of the second half with ten men.  Mintcakes Goalkeeper Hayden Roberts was sent off for handling outside the box on 53 minutes. His side were already 3-1 up thanks to goals from James Bailey, Steven Yawson and Steven Mather.  Adam Gilchrist had given the visitors hope, but Bailey Kenny was on hand to convert from a corner after Ryan Winder's penalty was saved.  The Merseyside club pulled one back late on with a penalty of their own from Thomas Beckett.

Wythenshawe Town made it three wins on the bounce with a 2-0 victory over Squires Gate at Ericstan Park in the North West Counties Premier Division.  Rory Fallon's side had the game sewn up in the first half, with Raul Correia and Sharif Deans on target before the break. Town have climbed to fourth in the table, with many sides not in action due to the FA Cup preliminary round fixtures this weekend.  Squires Gate remain winless after five games and are one of four teams without a victory to date.

Longridge Town and Chadderton played out an entertaining 4-4 draw, in a game which both teams took the lead twice before having to settle for a point.  Visitors Chaddy got off to a flyer with Josh Abbott and Adam Dale on target within 12 minutes, before Leighton Hewitt scored twice to level the scores before the hour.   Chadderton played the second half with ten men following goalkeeper Morgan Bacon's red card, and ended with nine men following a late dismissal for Jordan Schofield.  Hewitt completed his hat-trick on 63 minutes, but Longridge were pegged back by substitute Cory Knight.  Ishaq Ibrar gave Longridge the lead once more with five minutes to play, but Knight hadn't finished and netted a dramatic equaliser five minutes into added time.

This result leaves Longridge without a win, but picking up a third point of the season.  Chadderton have made a strong start to life at Step 5, with three wins from the first five.

Cheadle Town proved too strong for Litherland REMYCA at Park Road, with Paul Marshall's side picking up a 4-1 win. Calum McGregor, Martin Pilkington and Jordan Lazenbury were on target to give Cheadle a commanding three goal lead at the break.  William Dunne pulled one back for The REMY midway through the second half, but it was nothing more than a consolation.  Pat Davin added a fourth in the closing stages.

AFC Liverpool picked up a 3-1 win at Glossop North End, who remain without a win since relegation from Step 4.  Adam Moorcroft put AFC ahead, but the sides went in level thanks to Jacques Etia's equaliser just before half time.  It wasn't to be for The Hillmen however, with AFC claiming a second win of the season with Bradley Shearwood and Tom Croughan scoring in the second half.

The Emirates FA Cup

There was plenty of North West Counties involvement in the FA Cup preliminary round, with 11 Premier Division teams aiming to gain passage to the 'first' qualifying round and earn a welcome cash boost of £1,444.

Charnock Richard pulled off a stunning comeback to win an all-North West Counties tie, beating Bury 3-2 in added time thanks to Luke Power's 96th minute goal.  Bury were two to the good approaching the hour mark, with both Connor Comber and Jack Tinning on target, before Jordan Darr gave the home side hope on 59 minutes.  Power went on to level the game on 82 minutes, before sealing the club a famous result in injury time.  This result continues the Mossie Park side's stellar record in the competition, with the club making into the first qualifying round for a fifth consecutive season.  It's a premature exit for Andy Welsh's Shakers side, who made it all the way to the fourth qualifying round last season.

Prestwich Heys were also victorious after picking up a 2-0 win at Penistone Church of the Northern Counties East League Premier Division.  Malachi Slaven and Tyler James were on target in either half for Heys, who exited at this stage in the last two seasons.

Irlam held fellow step-5  opposition Goole to a 3-3 draw at Silver Street, with Declan Daniels' late penalty, keeping the Salford side's hopes alive.  Jack Mitchell had given the home side a dream start and the lead within five minutes, before Goole turned the game around to lead 2-1 through Liam Flanagan and Ben Gelder.  Daniels levelled the game with his first of the day just after the hour, before Rob Guilfoyle looked to have nicked it for the visitors five minutes from time. Daniels had other ideas, and the teams will have to do it all again in midweek.

Barnoldswick Town are also in the hat for the next round late rescuing a replay late on at Whitchurch Alport.  Alex Hughes looked to have put the Midland League outfit through, but Ryan Moore was on target in the final minute.  Andy Hill saw red late on and was sent off in added time.

Padiham are out after a 5-2 home loss to Clitheroe, with Joel Brownhill and Ben Hoskin on target for Michael Morrison's side.  Prescot Cables proved too strong for ten-man West Didsbury & Chorlton, with the visitors picking up a 3-0 win in front of 774 at the Step Place Stadium. Tom Schofield received his marching orders early in the second half.

There was no joy for Wythenshawe, with The Ammies conceding in each half in a 2-0 loss at Ossett Albion.  Ramsbottom United also failed to score in a 1-0 loss at Mossley.

Eivind Johnson's goal ten minutes from time for Albion Sports was enough to dispatch of Burscough.  Albion made this stage by default after Chadderton were removed from the competition for fielding an ineligible player in their extra preliminary round game.

Colne are also out after a 3-1 home defeat to Brighouse, with Lucas Weaver on target five minutes from time for Paul Weller's side. On Friday night, Skelmersdale United had no answer for Step 4 Nantwich Town, who ran out 6-0 winners in front of a crowd of 232 at The Community Ground.  The Dabbers scored three times in each half to take their place in the next round.

Lower Breck's fixture with Avro was postponed after the Oldham club were removed from the competition for fielding an ineligible player.  Breck will now play Emley on Wednesday night - who were reinstated as a result of Avro's removal.  Avro had beaten the Yorkshire side 2-0 in the extra preliminary round.
