FA Competition Dates and Prize Fund Updates 2023-24

The FA have today confirmed the logistics for its three main cup competitions, namely the Emirates FA Cup, Isuzu FA Trophy and Isuzu FA Vase.
In the Emirates FA Cup our Step Five Clubs as of the application date, with the exception of Litherland Remyca and FC Isle of Man are all entered, The FA have clarified that the following regarding Step 6 Clubs accepted into The FA Cup for season 2023-24. "As the Competition was oversubscribed, it has not been possible to accommodate all Clubs that submitted an application to enter. The maximum number of Clubs that can be accepted to participate in the Competition in its current format shall be 732.
With the FA having reviewed all applications seven places were available in the Competition for Clubs at Step 6 of The FA National League System. These places have been awarded to the seven highest ranked Step 6 Clubs (that applied to enter) not promoted to Step 5, based on their points per game (PPG) from the 2022-2023 season."
The seven Step 6 Clubs to be accepted; are as follows: Brislington FC, Hartpury University FC, Liskeard Athletic FC, Okehampton Argyle FC, Stockport Town FC, Wells City FC, and Wendron United FC.

THE FA VASE:
In the Isuzu FA Vase, Abbey Hey FC, Brocton FC, Cheadle Town FC, Darwen FC, Longridge Town FC and Squires Gate FC have received an exemption to the First Round Proper of the competition. Exemptions to the Second Round are AFC Liverpool, Bury FC, Holker Old Boys and West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC, these examptions are based on previous performances in last years competition.
