There are changes afoot for football in bury as the vote to amalgamate The Shakers Community and Bury FC Supporters Society has passed by a significant margin, it was confirmed on Friday.
Bury AFC confirmed that the Resolution that the Shakers Community Society and Bury Football Club Supporters’ Society Limited (Register number 29385R) (“BFCSS”) shall be amalgamated pursuant to section 109 of the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 was approved by 97% of the vote. 1109 were in favour, 35 against and 15 abstentions.
Bury Football Club Supporters Society's outcome reads Votes in favour are 952 (90.1%) and votes against the resolution are 105 (9.9%)
The outcome of the votes begins the final leg of the process for a merged football entity in Bury.
