Statement From Leek CSOB

In the aftermath of Leek CSOB failing to fulfil their fixture at Holker at the weekend, the club has issued a statement regarding the current situation at the club.

Assistant Manager Paul Snape will take over the management role of the first team affairs, owing to Brett Barlow having to step down as Manager due to his family marquee business taking on new major contracts, leaving him little time for weekend football. Paul will be helped by volunteers to hopefully see the season out.

Leek CSOB Media Officer John Barratt said: "Things are changing daily and sometimes things come to a head, too quickly to react.

"Everyone connected with CSOB is desperately disappointed that we are letting the league down, by not fulfilling a fixture due to a variety of reasons last weekend.

"Measures are in place to try and see the season out and not alter the league placings through league expulsion. Running costs and player availability has been a major issue for the club, but the management and committee have worked wonders to get us this far, and now our aim is to see the season out competitively.

"Plans are already in place to safeguard the club, and bring it back as a community club and a formidable force in football next season".
