Preparations for the 2025/26 season take a step up today as the first pre-season friendly kicks off.
Premier Division outfit Longridge Town take on Chorley of the National League North in a curtain raiser at their Inglewhite Road home this evening; kick off 7.30pm.
The two teams will be competing for the Mayoral Cup, set up by Longridge Town chairman and Longridge Mayor Lee Jameson.
The trophy will be in aid of Ribble Valley Dementia and LTFC juniors.
