Sponsorship Naming Deal For Congleton Town

Strategic land promotion company Richborough Estates has signed a sponsorship deal with Congleton Town, which sees the club’s Booth Street ground renamed as the Richborough Estates Stadium.
The partnership will see Richborough Estates provide the club with vital funding to help with the regeneration of the club. As part of the deal, Richborough Estates will receive naming rights for the stadium and access to the club’s hospitality facilities.
Congleton Town FC’s recent conversion from a private club to a Community Benefit Society has opened up new routes to access funding opportunities, enabling them provide the local community with the best possible facilities.
The club is now looking to relocate to a new and improved stadium with training facilities and is currently in discussions with Cheshire East Council to find a suitable site that will accommodate both the club’s requirements and to incorporate the town’s junior clubs.
Nigel Moorhouse of Congleton Town FC said: “Everyone at Congleton Town FC is delighted with the generous sponsorship from Richborough Estates. It will go a long way to breathing a new lease of life into the club for the players and its supporters. We look forward to a long relationship with Richborough Estates as they continue to work in the area”.
Congleton Town's progressive ethos made the 100 year old football club the perfect partner for Richborough Estates, which recently received planning permission to develop 170 new homes on a 26 acre site adjacent to the town's pre-existing suburbs in Somerford, Congleton.
Paul Campbell, Director at Richborough Estates said: “Richborough Estates is delighted to be working with Congleton Town FC and to be able to support the community’s local talent.
"The Local Authority has identified a need for investment in regeneration within the area, and we are pleased to be able to contribute to this within the community on a long term basis, with the club and with current and future development projects in Congleton".
