Newcastle Town are mourning the passing away of former assistant manager and player Trevor Brissett.
Trevor died at the young age of 49 and was battling cancer but this was not a battle that Trevor was to win as an infection was just one game too far.
He started his playing career with Stoke City before moving on to Port Vale, making 52 starts. He then played at Darlington, Macclesfield Town, Stafford Rangers and Witton Albion before he came to Castle with Glyn Chamberlain. Great lad, great smile, thanks for the memories.
RIP Trev. It's been a pleasure.
Ray Tatton, Secretary, Newcastle Town
