St Martins FC have reacted swiftly in the wake of their heavy defeat in the FA Vase at the Weekend by appointing former Houghmond FC Assistant Manager, Josh Gough as Manager.

A statement released by the club overnight says "We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of JoshGough as our new St Martins FC First Team Manager.  Josh has replaced outgoing manager James Etherington who left the club last week.  Director of Football Steve Garnett has had his say on the clubs new manager... ' We're delighted to welcome Josh to the Football Club, he's a local Manager who has plenty of experience in and around this level of the game.  As soon as the position became available he immediately made his interest known.  He wanted to be a No1 again despite enjoying his position of Assistant Manager at Houghmond FC this season.  I would like to thank everyone there for allowing us to appoint Josh with ease.  He believes he is the right man to turn around our season and so do we as a committee.  Welcome Josh.'

Gough brings with him some new faces to the clubs staff.  The Clubs staff list now reads:

Manager - Josh Gough, Assistant Managers - Ryan Butcher and Dave Smith, Coach - Martyn Fitzsimmons, Kit-Person/GK Coach Dan Whittall.

The new managers first game in charge will be away at Brocton on Saturday 18th September, he takes on the role with the team in 20th place in Division One South, five points from safety.
