The draw has been made for the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup.

74 clubs from Step 3 of the National League System enter the competition at this stage with games scheduled for Tuesday 22 September 2020.

As with the previous two rounds, there are no replays or extra time in Cup ties during the 2020-21 season, with games that are drawn decided on a penalty shootout.

The prize fund at this stage is £2250 for winning clubs while the losing teams receive £750 from the 2020-21 competition prize fund.

Ties involving our sides

Eight sides from the North West Counties Football League remain in the competition at this stage.

The ties of the round from a league perspective sees four of our Premier Division rivals battle it out for a place in the next round.

Longridge Town take on Charnock Richard in a something of a Preston Derby, whilst down the motorway network Skelmersdale United and Bootle will face each other.

Warrington Rylands and Runcorn Town have perhaps the toughest task as they are both away to NPL Premier Division opposition.

Rylands is perhaps the tougher with a midweek trek to the Turnbull Ground to face Whitby Town, whilst Runcorn will travel to the Giant Axe to face Lancaster City.

Hanley Town also face Step 3 opposition but they have a home tie as they will face Southern League Premier Division Central side Redditch United.

Litherland REMYCA round off our eight teams in the First Qualifying Round, and they are the only ones facing Step 4 opposition as they travel across to face Tadcaster Albion.
