Emirates FA Cup Final Qualifying Round Draw
Mon 5th October 2026 | FA Competition News | By Martin Fallon
The draw has taken place for the Final Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Of the 19 Premier Division clubs that entered the Emirates FA Cup this season, we are down to just one with Trafford still in the competition. They face a replay at Atherton Collieries tomorrow evening following their 2-2 draw on Saturday, with a victory ensuring that they will reach this round for the first time in their history.
Should they win at Colls, then they will be just 90 minutes away from a place in the First Round Proper. And standing in their way would be an away trip to AFC Fylde.
AFC Fylde are in the National League this season, and they have started the season well with a current league placing of seventh. They have won six of the twelve league games that they have played but unusually they have won just one of them at home with two draws and two losses in their other games. Fylde have not played in the FA Cup this season as National League sides only enter at this round.
The two sides have met just three times in the past. The first two were in 2010/11 in the Northern Premier League when Flyde were on their climb up the football pyramid. Both sides won their home games, with Flyde winning 2-1 and Trafford winning 2-0. The only other meeting came in the Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy in 2011/12, with Fylde winning 4-1 away at Trafford.
The ties is set to be played on the weekend of Saturday, 17 October.
The draw including our sides can be found below:
FOURTH QUALIFYING ROUND
SATURDAY 17 OCTOBER 2026
WINNERS RECEIVE £9,375
LOSERS RECEIVE £3,125
16. AFC Fylde v Atherton Collieries or Trafford
