St Helens Town AFC have announced that they have agreed a two-year deal with Prabhu Ventures for the role of Main Club Sponsor.

Ashish Prabhu, owner/operator at Prabhu Ventures, has been involved at St Helens Town for several seasons now, sponsoring the Club’s Under 21 side as well as various other packages such as match highlights and ball sponsorships.

At an uncertain time for many clubs, St Helens were delighted to agree a main Club Sponsorship with Prabhu Ventures and their owner Ashish Prabhu who is no stranger to the club. Ashish himself was delighted to complete the deal, which continues his support of the local community, sports and in particular youth sports. Ashish, who also writes the “on this day” feature for the Club’s award-winning match day programme, is a local journalist who writes about current affairs, sport and mental health.

Club Chairman, Gary Langley was pleased with the news, stating “Ashish and his business have been long standing supporters of the club as both a commercial partner and by providing his Journalist skills to us for leading projects. We had been speaking with Ashish with a look to the future and he was keen to extend and increase Prabhu Ventures involvement with the club and we were only too happy to do so with him, as he has a similar work ethic to ourselves for graft and integrity.”

First Team Manager Dave Platt was also pleased stating “Ashish has been an amazing supporter of the Club for a few years now, and to be able to agree a deal for the main club sponsorship is a major achievement for us. After this lockdown we aren’t sure what position some of our sponsors and local business in general will be in so to acquire this deal means that we have secured a base that should see the Club survive the crisis.”

Ashish is available for writing commissions and his work is available to view at prabhuventures.co.uk

The new deal sees Town confirm the next stage of their development plan following recent additions in personnel, both in the management team and Club committee. Other sponsorships are available at the Club as they aim to continue their commitment to local junior football with seven junior sides and four open age teams including the First Team.
