With the help from the RAF, several old Emley AFC kits have been earmarked for kids in a developing country.

Emley have recentenly change their name from AFC Emley and released the following statement on their website, "Following the change in club name and a good spring clean of the Welfare Ground's storage areas, the club had several kit bags of surplus playing shirts, shorts and socks.

These have been sent to RAF Shawbury near Shrewsbury where the kits are sorted, boxed and stored before being dispatched through the Ministry of Defence delivery system under the RAF Football Association charity “Taking Football to Africa and Beyond”.

To date the charity has delivered over 235,000 items - including over 68,000 football shirts to 57 countries worldwide, mostly in Africa.

We’re promised an update when the old Emley kits are in use by a school or club somewhere in the world."
