Managerial Change at Cleator Moor Celtic

Division One North side, Cleator Moor Celtic have made a change to their coaching set-up ahead of their season-opening game away to Harrogate Railway in the Buildbase FA Vase next week.  Craig Routledge has left his role as First Team Manager with immediate effect and will be replaced by Martin Mahine as Head Coach.  Martin will be assisted by Dene White.
 
Speaking about the changes, Club Chairman John Murphy stated "Craig Routledge and I had have spoken about the upcoming season, and have mutually agreed that with the best interests of the club in mind, Craig will vacate the First Team Head Coach role with immediate effect."
 
He added "I’d like to thank Craig for his commitment to our club for the past Two years. He’s added value at all times and helped us to navigate one of the most surreal periods the club has faced in its history. Craig has also attracted some great additions to our playing squad for the imminent season, and I’m confident his efforts in this area will contribute to a successful campaign.  I’m delighted to announce that Martin Mahone has agreed to return to the club as Head Coach with immediate effect. Please give Martin the support he requires and deserves. Martin will be joined by assistant Dene White who will stay on as assistant at the club."
 
Club Secretary, Herbert Briggs added ".....it must have been a hard decision to make as i know the work Craig put in to the role, I wish Craig all the best an hope he gets back into football quickly he is a tremendous coach so am sure he will."
 
Celtics' first game for the new boss will be the aformentioned Buildbase FA Vase tie on Satutday September 19th followed by their first League game in the 2020-21 NWCFL League season on October 3rd when Golcar United visit Inglenorth Park.
