FA Vase Fourth Round Draw

Mon 4th December 2017 | FA Challenge Vase
By Martin Fallon

1874 Northwich, the last remaining Hallmark Security League side in this season's Buildbase FA Vase, have been handed a home tie in the Fourth Round, which was made at Wembley Stadium earlier today.

They will face off against Pontefract Collieries, the last remaining Northern Counties East League side in the draw, after they beat Worksop Town 3-0 on Saturday.

It's a tough tie for 1874, with Pontefract currently second in their league, a point behind leaders Handsworth Parramore but with four games in hand. However they will be able to get some vital information on their opponents who have played three Hallmark Security League sides in the Vase so far, most notably 1874 Northwich's landlords Winsford United! That was in the Second Qualifying Round of the competition, with Pontefract winning 4-1 at the St Luke's Barton Stadium.

Tie to be played on the weekend of Saturday 6 January 2018.
