FC St Helens appoint Mark Hayes as Sporting Director

First Division North leaders, FC St Helens have bolstered their club structure by appointing former Ashton Town and Pilkington FC Chairman, Mark Hayes as their new Sporting Director. Mark is a familiar face to many around the NWCFL for his endeavours at his previous clubs and makes a welcome return to the game following a short hiatus having left Pilkington at the end of the 2022-23 season.
FC St Helens have release the following statement to accompany the announcement:
FC ST HELENS CHAIRMAN STEVE LEATHER ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF EXPERIENCED FORMER ASHTON TOWN AND PILKINGTON FC CHAIRMAN MARK HAYES AS FC ST HELENS SPORTING DIRECTOR.
"I am absolutely delighted to have Mark on board, this will be one of the biggest signings the club has ever made. He will take the already very successful club to the next level, both on and off the field."
Mark adds "I am made up to be part of the future at FC, and add to the already phenomenal effort and work that Steve and his team have done in such a short space of time. The potential at the club is ridiculous, and I cant wait to add my input and continue its build. Its very exciting times."
Mark has full time employment within football as the Operations Manager for SMS Pro Soccer International. He hosts UK experience tours for teams and individual players from all over the world. Mark is relatively new to St Helens having been involved in the area for only 6 years, but has been highly successful within the hospitality industry and project with community engagements."
