The August Winners of the Goalkeeper of the Month Awards for each Division were confirmed at the NWCFL League Management Committee Meeting which was held this week. The Three Divisional winners are confirmed as follows:
PREMIER DIVISION - Congratulations to Greg Hall of Wythenshawe Town. Greg is no stranger to this award having won it numerous times and he keeps winning all of the plaudits for his performances, including four clean sheets and a Man of the Match award in what has been a busy, but productive Month for Greg. His performances have ensured that Wythenshawe Town are currently very much in the mix at the right end of the Premier Division.
FIRST DIVISION NORTH - Joe Mason of FC St Helens has been confirmed as the First Division North Goalkeeper of the Month for August having played a key part in FC St Helens's great start this season. Three Clean sheets in a busy Month which saw him concede more than one goal only once and saw plaudits aplenty for the St Helens stopper. His performances have been a key part of the machine that has seen FC St Helens strongly in situ at the top of the table. Our congratulations to Joe as he takes the August Award for the Division.
FIRST DIVISION SOUTH - In Division One South it is Tony Alsopp of Brocton who takes the award having had an influential role in ensuring that Brocton carry on their strong form of last season into this and sees the club already in a strong position towards the top of the First Division South Table. Tony has kept five consecutive clean sheets as his club have beaten onther expected contenders at the business end of the league. Well done Tony!
