New Manager Appointed at Wythenshawe Town

Wythenshawe Town FC have today confirmed the appointment of Rory Fallon as the clubs new first-team manager.   The Club have released the nes today having appointed from a very strong field of applicants.  They have released the following statement:

The club are delighted to have appointed Rory Fallon as the clubs new Manager.  Rory was formerly Manager at Cheadle Heath Nomads last season and after taking over halfway through. he dramatically changed the fortunes of the club, taking them from a threat of relegation to eighth place in the table, winning an impressive 62% of their games.

Rory 32, had a notable career as a player beginning as a youngster, with Manchester City and playing in the reserve team for Aston Villa, He then earned a football scholarship at Loughborough University where he was selected to play for Great Britain Universities.  He went on to forge a successful Non-League playing career with clubs that included Hyde United, Curzon Ashton, Trafford, and FC United, winning promotion with both Trafford and FC United.

Currently working towards his UEFA coaching badges, Rory has coached the youth team at Altrincham and has worked with many semi-pro footballers on a one-to-one basis where they needed individually tailored coaching.

Chairman Chris Eaton says “We had several excellent applicants, but Rory was the one who most followed our philosophy of appointing a young ambitious Manager. We are looking forward to the forthcoming campaign and continuing the success Wythenshawe Town has achieved in the past four seasons”.
