Stats and Milestone Update to Saturday 22nd April 2023 - Despite it being quite a Premier Division-Centric weekend, there are a number of league stats and milestones that have been achieved across the weekends games. Let's take a look....
Overall Milestones
Barnoldswick played out their 100th draw with the 1-1 result against Padiham on Thursday night.
Charnock Richard conceded their 400th goal in the defeat at home to Prestwich Heys.
Longridge played their 150th game as they drew 4-4 at Congleton.
Home Milestones
Bacup Borough’s defeat at home to Pilkington was their 750th home game.
Padiham conceded their 850th home goal when beating Squires Gate 3-1.
Away Milestones
Winsford United’s defeat at Bury AFC saw them concede their 900th away goal.
Bits and Pieces
Supporters of Congleton Town have seen an April goal fest. Their team played nine league and cup games, scored eighteen and conceded twenty-three, a whopping forty-one goals in those nine games.
Goal Heroes
Elliott Taylor hit three for Litherland REMYCA in the 4-1 midweek win at home to West Didsbury and Chorlton. This was the club’s first since January 22.
Connor Comber completed his hat-trick for Bury AFC, in the 93rd minute of their win against Winsford.
Callum Laird hit three for Pilkington in their title winning game at Bacup Borough.
Managers
As has been reported on recently, Northwich Victoria manager Steve Wilkes has now stepped down. He has finished his time at the club with his 249th game.
Next week we will look at overall stats for the season, this may be in a couple of parts as it has been quite an icoic seaon for a number of clubs.
