On Monday 20th March 2023 a Disciplinary Panel of the NWCFL met with representatives of both Winsford United and Vauxhall Motors to consider a protest under League Rule 16.2 that Winsford United had played the game on 6/3/2023, winning 1-0, whilst under suspension by Cheshire County FA and a request that the match be replayed.
The Disciplinary Panel considered the written and verbal submissions of both clubs and confirmation from Cheshire County FA that Winsford United were suspended on that date for a failure to fulfil their financial obligations to Cheshire County FA.
They also considered the plea of mitigation put forward by Winsford United.
As a result, the match played on 6th March 2023 has been declared void, with the result removed from the records and the league table updated accordingly.
The match will be replayed on Saturday 8th April 2023, kick off 3-00pm.
