Louis Holt of Charnock Richard has been presented with his Player of the Month award.

League Director and Head of Media Martin Fallon caught up with Louis at a recent Charnock home game to present him with his award.

The striker had a fine month in September and picked up the award for the first time. This is what was said about him when the announcement was made.

PREMIER DIVISION - LOUIS HOLT (CHARNOCK RICHARD)

Striker Louis Holt made an immediate impact at Mossie Park on his arrival from Irlam towards the end of August, scoring four goals in his four league appearances in September. Louis was chosen as Charnock Richard’s ‘Man of the Match’ by opponents on three occasions; AFC Liverpool at home on the 13th, Avro away on the 17th and Kendal Town away on the 20th.

Louis began his football with Northern Premier League side Hyde United in the 2016-17- season. He was badly hurt in January 2017; suffering an acute cruciate ligament injury that was to keep him out of the game for the next five seasons. On recovering from injury Louis joined North West Counties League Premier Division side Irlam in the summer of 2022. However, he moved on to Charnock Richard in late August and came on as a substitute at Congleton Town on the 29th August.

Due to being cup-tied in the FA Cup, Louis had to wait a couple of weeks before making his full debut for the Mossie Park side. He marked his Mossie Park debut with two goals in the home game against AFC Liverpool in the Premier Division of the North West Counties League in a 3-3 thriller on the 13th September 2022. He started every other game in the month.

Congratulations to Louis and to all at Charnock Richard.
