Club of the Month July/August 2022

August is always the busiest month of the year with the first of the league matches taking place as well as the opening rounds of the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Vase.

In the first month there have been some outstanding sides and performances across all the of our divisions. However the league have a formula to work out our Club of the Month based on home and away games and the quality of the opposition.

We are delighted to confirm our Club of the Month winners for Awards for August 2021 who are as follows:

Premier Division - Avro

In the cold light of day, who else could it have been? Ten games played in the month for Avro, with nine victories from them and a draw in the FA Vase where they ultimately lost on penalties. They also had nine clean sheets, including eight of them on the run!

Division One North - Pilkington

Pilkington have lead from the front in the North division this season. With no distractions in the FA Cup and FA Vase to worry about, they have simply focused on winning league games and they have done that no problem. Six games played, three home and three away. Six wins in those games, with a whopping 22 goals scored also.

Division One South - Stockport Town

There were a number of top perforners in the month with Brocton, Ellesmere Rangers and Wythenshawe Amateurs all doing well, but coming out on top were Stockport Town. They won five of their six games, and of those five wins, four of them came on the road. They only played once at home, although that ended in an 8-0 win over Abbey Hey!
