Goal Heroes (League and Cup)
Outstanding performance of the week – just one candidate, Sean Doyle who hit an amazing SIX for FC Isle of Man as they beat Abbey Hulton 8-3. I don’t have full goal stats, but no one has ever hit six in one game since the 2011 season, lots of fives but no sixes, until this weekend. Congratulations to Sean. If anyone can enlighten me as to earlier seasons – please do.
Jordan Lazenbury of Abbey Hey hit four against St Martins in the 10-1 win, Ben Halfacre hit three in the same game.
Callum Schorah hit three for AFC Liverpool in their 4-1 win at Winsford and Max Bardsley-Rowe scored three in his final game for Irlam to help them beat Squires Gate 5-2.
Abimbola Obasoto got three for Bury AFC in their midweek win against Golcar and Jamie Glover hit three for Cleator Moor Celtic in their midweek cup win over Penrith.
