After a busy weekend of football today the Emirates FA Cup Third Round Qualifying draw was made today and has seen our two remaining clubs draw each other as Longridge Town will host Skelmersdale United.

Saturday saw four of our member clubs take part in the Second Round Qualifying and Warrington Rylands were televised in their game against York City. They gave the Step Two side a real fright as the Minstermen held on for a 0-1 win courtesy of a goal from Sean Newton.  Hanley Town travelled to Ilkeston Town and were in their game for 80 minutes until goals from Zak Godson and Alex Troke sealed what was ultimately a 4-1 win for the home side.

Skelmersdale United hosted Lancaster City at the JMO and progressed through to the next round with a 2-1 win.  Mike Grogan put Skem ahead on 35 minutes only for Charlie Bailey to level two minutes after half time. Gabriel Ellis proved the hero of the hour when he struck on 66 minutes to see Skem through.

There was late drama at Stalybridge Celtic where Longridge Town netted an impressive result.  Jack Anderson and Owen Watkinson had put Town teo goals ahead but as they started to tire, Stalybridge got right back into the game when Lewis Salmon pulled one back on 74 minutes and then Jon Ustabasi levelled the game on 86 minutes.  However, Owen Watkinson got his second goal of the game on 88 minutes to seal the win and send them through for a home tie.

We wish both clubs well and the tie is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 13th October.
