A number of milestones to report on this week.
The 0-0 draw between 1874 Northwich and Barnoldswick was the Cheshire sides 50th drawn game, in their 271st fixture.
Padiham played their 950th league game in their 3-1 defeat at Northwich Victoria. Burscough conceded their 1000th league goal when Kieran Holsgrove slotted home Runcorn Town’s opening goal from the penalty spot on 14 minutes. In the same game, Craig Cairns 66th minute goal was the home side’s 900th league goal (from 397 games).
Cleator Moor Celtic conceded their 50th goal when Prestwich Heys scored their fourth in their 5-3 victory at JBV Park.
Ashley Harrison’s 66th minute strike for Cheadle Heath Nomads against Abbey Hulton was the 1000th Division One South goal this season.
Goal scoring heroes this week:
Craig Cairn’s hit a second half, 15 minute hat-trick for Runcorn Town against Burscough on Saturday and Will Shawcross hit three for Prestwich Heys at Cleator Moor, though he had to wait until the 92nd minute for his final goal.
