A number of milestones to report on this week.
In the Premier Division: Irlam conceded their 700th goal when Ashton Athletic scored their third in the 4-1 win.
Division One North: Atherton LR’s only goal in their 4-1 defeat at AFC Liverpool was their 1800th league goal and Jamie Morton’s opening goal for Lower Breck in their 4-3 win against AFC Blackpool was the clubs 200th.
Division One South: Abbey Hulton’s defeat at home to Ellesmere Rangers was their 50th in the league and on Tuesday night Sandbach United lost 1-3 at home to Wythenshawe Amateurs, the visitors third and final goal was the 200th Sandbach have conceded (they have scored 293 though).
Goal scoring heroes this week:
Pride of place this week goes to Tom Ince whose triple helped Longridge Town defeat Newark Flowserve and progress to the last 16 of the FA Vase.
Holker Old Boys beat Daisy Hill 8-0. After 75 minutes it was 5-0 and Brandon Collins was not on the score sheet. He then hit three in the next 14 minutes. Matthew Thomas of Stone Old Alleynians did exactly the same (all bar two minutes) hitting three in 16 second half minutes as his side won 6-1 at Barnton.
