Rylands have had three points deducted from their playing record, after being found guilty of fielding an ineligible player earlier in the season.
The charge was brought after a fellow promotion contender alleged that a Rylands player had played without international clearance.
This specific charge was not proven, but as part of that investigation, it was identified that the player had played earlier in the season, before international clearance had been received.
The club were therefore charged by the FA and found to be in breach of FIFA International Clearance Regulations.
The matter was then referred to the League to deal with the issue under League Rules, and as a result three points have therefore been deducted from the club's playing record.
