Abbey Hey have announced the appointment of Rob Byrne as their new first team manager.
A club statement said: "Rob has a wealth of experience and is looking forward to trying to move Abbey Hey away from the difficult situation that we are in.
"Rob had previously managed at Winsford United and has had prominent coaching positions at Mossley, Hyde Utd and at Manchester FA.
"We are also pleased that coach Nigel Keogh will be staying at the club. Nigel is a popular member of our team and we are grateful for the work he did when he recently took over as caretaker manager.
