In the recently announced FA Groundsman of the Year awards, Eccleshall groundsman David Rhodes was placed third for the Hallmark Security League.
League Management Committee representative Gary Langley attended Eccleshall’s Macron Cup tie against AFC Darwen last week to present David with his award certificate.
Eccleshall Club Secretary, Jim Tunney, said:
“Dave has been our groundsman for a number of years now and we are delighted that his work in preparing our pitch has been recognised in this way. This is now the second year running that Dave has been placed in these awards and is testament to the work he puts in.
"Eccleshall Football Club are proud of the playing surface at Pershall Park and this is due in no small way to Dave’s efforts on our behalf. Long may he continue”.
