New Mills have announced that Calum Sykes has resigned as first team manager.

Calum said: "I would like to thank Ray, Sue and the Committee at New Mills AFC for the amazing opportunity to manage the club.

"It has been filled with some amazing highs and some sad lows but I am very happy that I was able to bring some smiles to the home fans with some entertaining games at Church Lane. The ending of the Runcorn Linnets game will live with me forever.

"Recent results however have been way below what I want and what I expect for the Millers fans, and with that in mind I made my decision to resign as manager. I wish the club, the players, the new manager, and most of all New Mills fans, every success".
