Great eight for Heys - Prestwich Heys' 8-0 win over Daisy Hill on Tuesday evening was notable for a number of reasons.

It was Heys' record win in the League, and it was the first time that a 8–0 score had been recorded in the League since the 29th August last year, when City of Liverpool beat Atherton LR by the same score.

It's also worth mentioning that the result was very much a team effort, with seven different players sharing the eight goals.

For Daisy Hill, it's the third time in League history that they have lost 8–0 away from home, the previous two occasions being on the 14th December 2013            at Nelson, and before that on the 18th January 2003 at Stone Dominoes.

New Mills - the Millers are inviting former players who played in the first ever floodlit fixture at Church Lane to join them as guests at the game against Sandbach United on 25 November.

The date marks the 20 year anniversary of the unveiling of the floodlights at the Church Lane Stadium, and to celebrate the 'opening' of the floodlights the Millers faced Macclesfield Town, who had recently been promoted to the Football League.

To mark the 20 year anniversary of this game New Mills are looking to welcome players who represented the club that night to the Sandbach United fixture as guests of the club on the day.

Cheadle Town - a fundraising night in the clubhouse at Park Road is being held this coming Saturday 23rd September to raise money towards replacing ground maintenance equipment.

The club suffered a break-in a couple of weeks ago where a significant amount of equipment was stolen, running to an approximate value of £2,000, including a sit-on mower and other vital pieces of equipment that left groundsman Phil Mottershead with absolutely no means of maintaining the pitch.

The evening starts at 7.30 pm.

Barnoldswick Town - the club are holding an "Adults in Junior Football" workshop which is being delivered by the Lancashire FA County Welfare Officer, Neil Yates.

Club official Peter Naylor said: "This is a fantastic workshop that goes through various ways adults can help kids before, during and after football games, to help them and encourage them.

"The workshop has been delivered to well over 60 clubs all over the country, with all of them coming back and saying that it was a real eye opener to parents, coaches and volunteers".

The Adults In Junior Football Workshop looks at the following issues:

• Why children play, and stop playing, football

• Adults as positive role models to children and young people

• Inclusion

• How children learn

• Giving children a voice in their football

• Family friendly environment

The session will be held at the club on Wednesday 11th October, between 6.30 and 8 pm.
