Eccleshall have announced the appointment of Jamie Cullerton as their new manager.

Jamie has previously managed in the North West Counties Football League with Leek CSOB between 2011 -13. Since then, he has been with Evo-Stik League club Leek Town, where, for the last couple of seasons, he has held the position of first team coach and latterly joint assistant manager.

Assistant manager/coach Dan Dawson has been in charge of team affairs whilst the club advertised locally for a new manager, following Jimmy Leech's decision to step down after the home defeat to Whitchurch Alport. He will remain at the club.

Eccleshall Secretary Jim Tunney, said: "We are delighted to have Jamie on board at Pershall Park and feel that his knowledge and experience will be of considerable benefit to the club.

"Obviously, he will need a little time to assess the situation, get to know the club and the team and put his own mark on it. Hopefully, we can turn the corner from our poor start to the season and look to improve on our current league position".

Jamie Cullerton said: "I'm looking forward to the challenge of managing Eccleshall in the Hallmark Security League. I will be meeting with Dan Dawson and the players very soon to prepare for our tough match on Saturday against City of Liverpool".
