Litherland REMYCA manager Phil Stafford has strengthened his coaching line-up with the addition of former Cammell Laird 1907 manager Paul McNally to the Remyca coaching set-up.

Paul joins as a First team coach after he steadied the ship at Lairds following the first departure of Tony Sullivan after their promotion to the North West Counties League Premier Division at the end of the 2014-15 season and had them firing well early on in the 2015-16 season.

Paul's side fluctuated with an intermittent game pattern and eventually left three quarters in to the season with the club eventually finishing a safe 15th in the table.

Speaking today, Manager Phil Stafford is clearly delighted with the addition to his staff:

"I'm delighted that Paul has come on board with us and joined us as a coach.

"I have known him for a number of years and he will fit in perfectly with the existing Management Team and the characters we have here at Remyca.  We are one of a number of clubs who will be pushing strong to get out of this Division in the 2016-17 Hallmark Security League Division One, at a time when a number of strong new clubs are entering so we will benefit massively from Paul's experiences.

"He got promotion to the Premier Division with Cammell Laird 1907 and has been an Assistant at Evo-Stik League level, so he knows what it takes to get a squad technically savvy and disciplined enough to deal with a promotion push.

"I am shocked that Paul has not been snapped up by other clubs in the region as his CV speaks for itself, he will be a real asset and when we all reconvene for pre-season training on June 14th, Paul will be there from the outset and I can't wait to have him on board."
