Managerial Vacancy At Winsford United

Winsford United have announced that Rob Byrne has stepped down from the position of first team manager.

Byrne had been in charge at the Barton Stadium for two years, and cited work and family commitments as the reasons for his decision.

A club statement said: “We would like to thank Rob for all the hard work undertaken over the last few seasons he has been with the club, first as assistant manager and more recently as manager of our first team. We all wish him well for the future".

Assistant Manager Kevin Bircumshaw will be taking charge of team affairs in a Caretaker Manager capacity. He will be assisted by coaches Chris Appleton & Shaun Came.

The club are now looking to appoint a new first team manager.

Applicants must have previous experience at Step 5 or above and hold the appropriate coaching qualifications.
