Barnton have announced today that manager Andy Burgess has left the club.

Burgess was appointed in the summer to oversee the club's first campaign in the NWCFL, after Chairman Ian Ross decided to concentrate on off the field activities after combining both roles for several months.

A statement on the club website read:

"The club are sad to announce that Andy Burgess has today resigned his position as first team manager.

"We would like to take the opportunity to thank Andy for his effort and commitment over the last 6 months and further wish him all the best of success in whatever he does in the future.

"Colin Quirk will take temporary charge of the team for the game at Widnes on Monday and a further announcement on the vacant managers position will be made in due course".
