It has been a competitive start to the season with all 19 sides in the division managing to record at least one win in the opening three weeks of the campaign.

Daisy Hill have had arguably one of the most credible starts to the season currently finding themselves in third place. Daisy had a great start last season, topping the table at one stage before going on to endure a long disappointing campaign.

Craig Thomas appears to have assembled a good side who will be looking to keep their positioning in the top half of the table this time around. His side travel to Thursday night's headline makers Barnton who have announced the signature of former Brighton and Swansea striker Leon Knight.

Atherton Collieries are three points ahead of Rochdale Town at the top of the table, with Colls looking to carry on with their record breaking start to a season at home to Widnes. The side from the Select Security Stadium had a disappointing opening day defeat away at Wigan Robin Park, but since then have recorded two wins and a draw to find themselves just a point off the play-off places.

Irlam host second placed Rochdale Town having had an indifferent start to the season. On Wednesday night they were involved in an entertaining 3-3 with Northwich Flixton Villa at Valley Road. Djeny Bemba-Leta salvaged a point for Villa in the final minute of the match to deny Irlam a second consecutive win. Rochdale are the second highest scorers in the league having notched 12 which included five at home to Oldham Boro on Tuesday evening.

An interesting match up will be staged at Anchor Road where AFC Darwen and Litherland REMYCA go head to head. Litherland picked up their first NWCFL win on Saturday when they beat Northwich 2-1 at home with goals from Jamie Watkinson and Damien Kettley and Dave Abraham's side could use that as a spring board.

It won't be an easy afternoon for REMYCA though as Darwen are unbeaten so far this season and the Salmoners crowds are increasing season upon season, making the Anchor Ground a tough place to visit.

Chadderton host Atherton Laburnum Rovers at Andrew Street with the visitors holding a two point margin over their hosts whilst Northwich Flixton Villa welcome Oldham Boro to Valley Road.

Hanley are tipped to do well again this season and come into this weekend's action on the back of a 4-2 win at Daisy Hill. Star striker Theo Stair was back in action for that match and he scored twice to help record the Staffordshire based side record their second win of the season.

They host Ashton Town who are yet to claim a point on their travels this campaign, with their latest defeat coming on Monday night at Atherton Collieries.

Cammell Laird beat Barnton 4-3 at Kirklands on Tuesday night meaning they have now won two on the bounce having claimed just the one point from their opening two matches at this level. Tony Sullivan's men make the trip up to Rakesmoor to face Holker Old Boys who have won one of their two home fixtures so far.

Finally, Wigan Robin Park travel to Eccleshall helping to pick up their first points since the first day of the season.
