Stats Weekly Update: Saturday 13th November 2021

Start with an apology this week. After last week’s stats update I found an error in the spreadsheet I have been using, this affected the away records and consequently the overall records. This has now been rectified. The biggest error probably being that Congleton Town have not played 1,000 games as reported but only 995 – have to keep the celebratory cake on hold.

Sorry - Kevin

Ok that’s done, moving swiftly on…

Bacup Borough played their 1,450th game with the defeat at Garstang and West Didsbury and Chorlton hit their 650th overall and 350th away goals in the big win at St Martins.

Vauxhall Motors lost their 100th game with the defeat by Avro and the visitors scored their 100th away goal in the process.

Holker OB scored their 1,750th goal while winning at Atherton LR and the home side conceded their 1,200th home goal. Nelson hit their 2,050th goal as they won at Chadderton.

Abbey Hey's 2-1 win at Ellesmere Rangers was their 450th away game and their 150th away win.

Hat-Trick Heroes

Just two this week to congratulate, both in Division One North.

Joe Noblet hit three for Garstang against Bacup Borough and Mark Ferguson hit all three of Campion’s as they beat AFC Darwen 3-1.

Mention for Ashley Flynn of Golcar who hit three the week before for his side against AFC Darwen (missed off last week’s mentions)

Penalty Kings

Max Bardsley-Rowe (Macclesfield, formerly Irlam) leads the Prem table with six followed by Joe Duckworth (Winsford Utd) with four.

In Division One North, Ashley Flynn of Golcar has five, followed closely by Leon Creech (AFC Darwen) and Ryan Diddle (Bacup Borough) both with four.

Division One South sees Louis Edwards (Maine Road) top of the pile with six, followed by David Howarth (Ellesmere Rangers) on five.

Sadly (or not) no stats on the team who have missed the most!

Odds and Ends

West Didsbury and Chorlton have now gone five league games without conceding a goal (and scored seventeen during this spell) and are unbeaten in nineteen. Bury AFC are unbeaten in seventeen and Holker OB, eight. In the Premier league, Skelmersdale Utd are unbeaten in ten, Macclesfield, nine and Winsford five.
