Despite the club waiting for the green light from the FA and League to begin full contact training and arrange friendly matches, off the field New Mills FC have been working hard behind the scenes as the clubhouse has undergone renovations ahead of re-opening on Saturday afternoon (July 4th 2020).

The family friendly venue, which can boast that it is the ‘Biggest Beer Garden in Town’, reopens its doors following the Government's decision to lift some of the restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 situation.

The interior of the club has had a huge makeover over the last few months and now has a complete new look, with five new screens installed for customers to watch live sporting events. Customers will also be able to text drink orders, with contactless payments available to ensure that Government guidelines are met.

While Joint-Managers Dave Birch and Mike Norton have been focusing on the playing squad ahead of the 2020/21 season, whenever that may start, the club committee has left no stone unturned in preparing for the re-opening. A one way system has been introduced indoor with much improved toilet facilities for customers. The club also plans to, when relevant guidelines allow, make the artificial training pitch adjacent to the main pitch available for children to use free of charge on Sundays.
