Division One North Club, Ashton Town have been doing well on the pitch so far this season and at the Liverpool County FA's Grassroots Football Awards ceremony, held at the Marriott Hotel in the City Centre last week, there was recognition of their work to improve that field of play to an equally high standard.

The Club's Ground Staff, namely Keith Peacock, Jimmy Cahill and David Bourne have been working hard at The Scott Rees & Co Stadium on Edge Green Street in the Town constantly since the club returned to the NWCFL for the 2018-19 season.  Over the summer their pitch-side fence was fully painted with additional gates being added at the Emergency Vehicle Access point and the entrance where the players and officials enter the field of play was also given an overhaul.  The Dugouts and Pitchside area have been fully renovated as the club look to improve their facility for the long term.

The Gentlemen are pictured receiving their award from Dave Pugh, CEO of the Liverpool County FA.
