Buildbase FA Vase First Qualifying Round Preview

The opening games in the Buildbase FA Vase span across the upcoming weekend, with eight all NWCFL clashes set to take place.

14 NWCFL teams are on the road against teams outside the league, while 15 of the leagues sides will welcome visitors from across the non-league system to their home grounds.

St Martins, who've lost their last four games, open the proceedings when they welcome Shifnal Town on Friday night.

A bumper slate of Saturday games will include Cammell Laird 1907 hosting Charnock Richard with both sides winning their last game.

New Mills, winless so far this season, will weclome Skelmersdale United who followed up their FA Cup exit with a 3-2 loss to Whitchurch Alport.

1874 Northwich, who've won five of their opening six, travel to Prestwich Heys who have won their last two games without conceding.

Other all NWCFL games include Eccleshall v Hanley Town, Ashton Athletic v AFC Darwen, Cheadle Heath Nomads v Ashton Town and Pilkington v Atherton LR.

On Sunday, Emley AFC - who are 11th in the First Division North but just three points off the top four - will host Burscough following their defeat to Bootle on Bank Holiday Monday.

A total of five games are on this Sunday, including Litherland REMYCA and St Helens Town hosting Glasshoughton Welfare and Rossington Main respectively.
