Reusch First Division Cup Statement

The League Management Committee wish to make the following statement with regard to the Reusch First Division Cup.
In the quarter final tie between Litherland REMYCA and Irlam, Litherland REMYCA won 3-2 and progressed to the semi-final, where they were drawn at home to Hanley Town.
However, Litherland REMYCA fielded an ineligible player in the game, and have therefore been removed from the competition.
Under League rules, this means that Irlam should take the place of Litherland REMYCA in the semi-final. However, they also fielded an ineligible player in the quarter final tie, and like Litherland REMYCA they have also been removed from the competition.
This means that Hanley Town will receive a bye into the final, and will face the winners of the other semi-final - Barnton or Holker Old Boys v Stockport Town or Rochdale Town.
